Hello all. I may have asked this before, but is there anyone who uses Administrative Fines for any of their code violations? We have recently approved fines for some of our smaller violations such as overgrown yards and sanitation to avoid having to wait an extended period of time for a court date. Our city attorney has asked for a list of other agencies that might be using them so that we could see how they are used and how they are written into the city codes. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

In accordance with the City of Grovetown Nuisance ordinances, our administrative fines are imposed by our municipal court.

Thank you for the update. All of our fines are currently processed through the court. Our city attorney has asked if there are other agencies in the state that use administrative fines that are paid to City Hall, like I have proposed with a couple of our smaller violations. I have heard there are multiple throughout the state, but I don't have the time to reach out to every jurisdiction to find out.
