JOB ANNOUNCEMENT
The City of Covington is currently accepting applications for a Code Enforcement Officer in the Planning & Zoning Department with a starting hourly rate of $22.83 to $33.52 depending upon qualifications.
This position performs a variety of technical duties in support of the city's code enforcement programs, which include monitoring and enforcing a variety of applicable ordinances, codes, and regulations related to land use matters, building, housing, health and safety, property maintenance, abandoned vehicle abatement, boarded up houses and similar matters of public concern.
Minimal education and experience qualifications include possession of a high school diploma or GED equivalent supplemented by a two-year degree or vocational school training in code enforcement, urban planning, public administration or related field, three or more years of experience in code enforcement, zoning enforcement, building inspection, customer service or a similarly related field, and a valid Driverโs License.
