Do any agencies or code enforcement offices out there currently have an S.O.P. , a process, and/or an application regarding:
Vetting Local Demolition & clean-up services to provide to the public that can assist them with abatements.
i.e. Subject has a collapsing mobile home. The agency opens a case and orders abatement. Subject doesn’t know where to start. Officers offer the subject a local contact list that does that type of work. The subject can start shopping the list and expedite abatement.
This list has worked for our Officers in the field but…. we haven't established any kind of official process to add or remove a name or a company. We do not want good businesses to be left off the list nor for the Gov’t agency to appear we are recommending any business over another. Currently, we have given out a list of what we know in that field of work who have done quality. Some of them wanted to be on the list and for others we offered to add them
We need to tighten up our process and create an S.O.P. So if any of you have a process or forms that are willing to share, we don’t want to reinvent the wheel. We’d love any input.
Thanks
