Most of us use a third-party credit card to have on file for parking/incidentals, etc., and the attendee does not have physical possession of the card at the time of check-in, a “pre-authorization form” must be submitted in advance or presented at time of check-in; otherwise, Savannah Marriott may not allow use of a third party card (city, county, department, etc. issued credit cards).
This can be a frustrating detail when trying to check in, especially if you are unaware of the requirement. Many of us use a credit card belonging to the jurisdiction and often do not have the actual card in our possession. Also, be aware that some jurisdictions will not allow incidentals to be placed on their cards. You may be asked for a personal card to cover any incidentals.
