There are Georgia communities who have active Land Banks. Properties can be acquired through a Judicial Tax Sale, and the Land Banks can request eradicating delinquent taxes and abatement liens that encumber the properties. Sometimes the properties are host to structures that need attention and may appear to need condemnation. We have a Land Bank here in Albany/Dougherty. Georgia is a leading state with Land Bank Legislation.
