In October of 2016, Susan Carpenter asked if I would be interested in setting up a web site for GACE.  I was already managing the web site for ICC Region VIII and the Metro-Atlanta Inspectors Association. Both of us were members of Region VIII, and that's where we met. Susan was also instrumental in my setting up of MAIA-GA.COM. It was arranged for me to attend a Board meeting in Macon on November 9, 2016. I got busy and setup a test site using some old information that I gleaned from the internet on GACE. It seems that for some reason, someone had stopped managing the old site and it was pretty much lost to history. I gathered as much of the old information that I could from The Internet Archive Wayback Machine, (https://web.archive.org/). This site stores information on the history of websites.

On November 9, 2016, my wife and I traveled to Macon and met with the GACE Board of Directors.  I gave my presentation of the web site I had setup, and the Board voted and approved the setup. We came home and I purchased the software, and the site went online November 11, 2016. Susan Carpenter was the first GACE member to register on the new site. As of today, there are 1642 registered members today.  Starting on November 11, members that registered in 2016 will start getting their 8-year badges. Who will be first?

Sometime in early 2025, we will be switching over to version 5 of the new forum's software. This is a complete rewrite of the software and has quite a few new features and is a bit faster than the old site. If you wish to take a look at the new site, click here and enjoy.

I have posted before about your contributions but had not read nor familiar with the information within this posting. You are truly amazing and absolutely deserving of recognition and commendation for services rendered.
