President's Message Concerning Hurricane Helene

GACE Members and Family,

I wish to extend my sincere word of Caution for your safety during this most unusual storm event. Hurricane Helene is expected to keep the course to negatively impact much of our great State. I wish you all to use extreme caution and be sure to use your training. Remember, after the storm, our profession is a very important part of data collection and inspection of the conditions left behind. You are an important part of aiding your community's recovery and rebuilding. 

Love your families, prepare them for the worst-case scenario, and be thankful for anything less than the worst. Please reach out if you wish to communicate your concerns. I may be slow to respond but I am available. 

As an organization, we want to collect data for what our profession has encountered from this most unusual weather event. Please send emails to any board member with data such as conditions and events you may experience during this time. Don't report your information until after the storm.
