Americans Rescue Plan Act

Good Morning everyone!  Some of you may know that Governor Brian Kemp announced on Monday a one-time payout of $1,000 to first responders and a list of others to include 911 dispatchers, fish and game, probation/parole officers to name a few.  I called the governor's office and inquired why code enforcement officers were not included in the list.  I was told that he would pass it up the chain.  I am encouraging everyone to call/email the governor's office and do the same.  Just because some of us are not mandated or carry a gun doesn't mean we weren't out there as well. And many times we are the first responders.  The organization has over 500 members and I think it time for us (code officers) to stand up for what we do and be recognized as well.  Thank you, Molly
