Greetings Members,

Throughout the recent conference, I was approached by many members who expressed their desire to have their jurisdictions notified of the importance of code enforcement officer/inspector safety. It was discussed on occasion that many of you do not have enough personal protection gear in the field. 

Please send me your opinions. I am working to develop another letter to go out to local jurisdictions, much like the one referencing the importance of two-way radios. 

It would be awesome to hear from you as soon as possible.

Hey Angel,

I do feel that the proper protection is needed in our line of work, I have asked management almost 2yrs ago about getting two-way radios, vests and Code Enforcement Badges but nothing has been done at this point. I love being a Code Enforcement Officer i just don't feel protected while in the field.

Proper protection and identification is very important. I will do my level best to get a letter prepared for our membership to provide for City/County Leaderships.

Thank you and The Board for preparing a letter of concern to help protect Code Enforcement Officers in the field. I Have forwarded the letter to my Supervisor & Admin Asst. Our Administrative Assistant will be forwarding the letter to our acting Administrative Director, with hopes of taking PPE under consideration.
